What is the BC Protected Areas Research Forum?
British Columbia Protected Areas Research Forum (BCPARF) brings together researchers, advocates, managers, and community members who create, share, and use research and traditional and community knowledge to benefit parks and protected areas in British Columbia.
2022 Hosts

BC Parks is responsible for designating, managing or co-managing, and conserving a system of ecological reserves, provincial parks, conservancies, protected areas and recreation areas that span more than 14% of the province. This system protects nationally and internationally significant natural and cultural features and outdoor recreational experiences.

The World Leisure Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Leisure Management brings together established and emerging scholars from around the globe to share innovative ideas, engage in dialogue and collaborate in research and teaching.

The Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative (Y2Y) champions connectivity in conservation and inspires solutions that benefit both people and nature. Y2Y is a not-for-profit organization that connects and protects wildlife habitat and is dedicated to securing the long-term ecological health of this entire region.
